VIP Software, a national provider of integrated software solutions to property and casualty insurance companies, has added Thomas L. Thomas, Mike Mikurak and Mark S. Rangell to its board of directors. Mr. Thomas will serve as Chairman of the Board. James Makris, VIP Software president and CEO, will remain on the board, as well as Jeff Trosclair.

Mr. Thomas was the first Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Dell Computer Corporation and 3Com Corporation. He is currently managing partner of a private management consulting and investment business, T2 Partners. He previously served as Executive Chairman and CEO of International Decision Systems, a provider of software and solutions for the equipment finance market. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Global Exchange Services (GXS), a provider of business-to-business EDI and supply chain management solutions. Mr. Thomas has served as the President and CEO at several technology companies, including HAHT Commerce, Ajuba Solutions and Vantive Corporation. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Iteris, Inc., the global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, and currently serves on the board of Accurate Group, which specializes in the appraisal and title services business. He has served on several non-profit and community boards, including 17 years as a trustee of Bellarmine University, where he was most recently Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Mikurak retired from Accenture, Plc. with Founder Partner status as one of the original company partners who took the company into the public markets; and was a recent candidate for the Pinellas County Commission – District 3. As an international consulting partner at Accenture, Plc., Mr. Mikurak focused on global consulting with Fortune 100 companies in the areas of business strategy and supply chain management. Since retiring from Accenture he has continued to utilize his knowledge and experience, including intellectual property from his nine global patents in business collaboration, one patent in e-learning and one pending patent in e-learning with Raytheon Corp. He is currently the CEO of MGM Strategic Consulting, LLC. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of a $4 billion not-for-profit health system and is the Chairman of its Audit Committee. He is also currently the Chairman of the Board of HEPCO Holding, LLC., a Delaware limited liability company. He continues to sit on the Board of Directors of CareerSource Pinellas, The Science Center of Pinellas County a STEM Education Center; and the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County, to which he appointed by Governor Rick Scott.
Mark S. Rangell currently serves as Managing Partner of Execullence, LLC, and a B2B growth strategy-consulting firm that he co-founded in 2011. Mr. Rangell’s career spans more than 25 years of executive leadership in the information technology, healthcare and professional service sectors, with primary experience in corporate strategy, marketing, business development and product management across all phases of business maturity from venture-backed startups, growth equity and turnarounds through IPOs and multinational operations. Prior to Execullence, Mr. Rangell co-founded and served as President of Applied Pathways, a software company providing decision support solutions to the healthcare provider and payer communities. He has also served as CEO of Cachet Solutions, provider of a software application for cash deductions and receivables management and co-founder/EVP of Quovadx, provider of software and services for enterprise application integration, claims processing and quality management. At Quovadx, he was part of the team that took the company public, oversaw global marketing and IT operations and helped to integrate numerous acquisitions through the company’s sale to a private equity firm. Mr. Rangell has also held senior positions in marketing and product management with Thomson Healthcare, Novartis and IBM, along with interim COO roles for a leading home healthcare solutions provider and a venture-backed medical diagnostics company.
